In recent years, poverty levels in the suburbs have actually surpassed those in the cities. While we can never ignore the global fight to end hunger and poverty, there are individuals and families facing troubled times right in our own communities. The elderly, the disabled, the family about to lose a home... These are our neighbors, and it is our privilege at VEAP to partner with you and others in our community to provide relief, support and hope in times of need. We provide:

At any given moment at VEAP you might find someone:

  • picking up groceries for a hungry family...
  • accepting a bus pass that becomes a lifeline to finding a new job...
  • getting help with utility bills so the furnace will stay on during the winter...
  • or getting a ride to and from necessary medical appointments.

VEAP is a local non-profit agency serving low-income families, individuals, elderly and disabled persons in the communities of Bloomington, Edina, Richfield, and South Minneapolis, MN.
